Facts about Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are something most of us hope to avoid because they can be quite painful.  They are also know as piles and can lead to swelling of rectum veins. This can be very painful and can even lead to bleeding through the anus when your bowels move.  You should also be aware there are two types of hemorrhoids, known as external and internal hemorrhoids.

If you have internal hemorrhoids, then you will experience internal rectal bleeding.  You may not have a clue that you have this type because most of the symptoms are internal. In the case of internal hemorrhoids the veins are can cause bleeding which can be shown in the stool. There are some popular treatments for internal hemorrhoids to help you control your problems.

On the other hand if you have external hemorrhoids the symptoms are felt externally and you may have some discomfort around the rectal area.  Some of the symptoms associated with external hemorrhoids include an itchy and burning sensation which may be quite uncomfortable.

The treatment for external hemorrhoids can be certain types of medication as well as a more natural approach, such as taking a warm bath.  You should try to do this a couple times a day if your case is severe.  You should aim to sit in the warm water for 10-15 minutes per session and this way you are much more likely to get some all natural relief.

Regardless, which method you choose to eliminate the symptoms of hemorrhoids, you should try one to diminish the amounts of discomfort you may have.  Otherwise it will be a much more painful process to recovery.
